I am a proven entrepreneur and executive leader with a passion for building businesses and strong corporate cultures. I have had a notable career in entrepreneurial business ownership and senior-level general management of small to mid-sized businesses, primarily focused in the service sector. My first career took me from Ontario to Alberta to start a motorhome rental sales and service business in Edmonton. With strong selling skills and a structured approach to operations, I built the business to profitability and sold it to a strategic buyer, then relocated to Ontario and rejoined the organization as VP Operations with the mandate of building a turn-key, multi-location operation.

During my tenure, I was promoted to Executive VP, led and executed a growth strategy which increased revenues from $20 million to $50 million, opened 15 full-service motorhome locations across North America and three Yacht locations in the Caribbean. This included creating a “franchise like” model, developing a consistent brand, customer experience, documented maintenance, and operational systems, technology implementation, and the team structure to support the day to day operations.

The next adventure involved relocating to Vancouver, where I built an inbound tour operation company specializing in customized individual, group, and soft adventure vacations. From concept to $30+M in annual revenues over a ten year period, this award-winning company methodically implemented a growth strategy that would expand from a regional based business to a national and then international-based business. I established the foundation for growth, took the company public and successfully integrated four strategic acquisitions. The company became a pioneer in technology solutions, elevating customer service to a memorable customer experience, supported by a strong corporate culture.

I went on to lend my business acumen and leadership expertise to a broad base of businesses across real estate syndication, trucking, manufacturing, import and distribution, and e-commerce sectors. Most recently, I worked with a private equity firm where I supported and mentored the Presidents of the partner operating businesses, guided the development and execution of strategy, initiated and negotiated a strategic acquisition and prepared the companies for a successful sale.

My wife and I have raised three children and lived in North Vancouver, British Columbia for the past 28 years. When I am not helping business owners build the companies of their dreams, you can find me skiing, golfing or travelling.
